Broken Pipe Gretna, LA

A pipe burst in the wall of this Office in Gretna Louisiana.

When the owners saw the damage by the burst pipe they called SERVPRO of The New Orleans Westbank right away. They knew they were in over their heads.

The extent of the damage went about twelve inches up the wall and required the drywall to be treated to prevent microbial growth. Water damages often cause mold to grow, especially where drywall was wet.

The next step is to dry out the remaining materials using air movers and dehumidifiers. Although most of the water is removed there is still some bound water in the wood and left over drywall.
