Multiple Rooms Affected by Water Damage in this New Orleans Home

A water heater pipe leaked a significant amount of water on the floors of this New Orleans creating a large area of water damage. The homeowner attempted to remedy the situation on their own and brought in SERVPRO to extract the water and dry the property. As seen in the Before Photo, the floating laminate floor had seepage to the tile floor underneath and some of the laminate floorboards needed removal for drying. A total of three rooms in the home received the effects of the water and the techs deployed multiple air movers and dehumidifiers to dry the interior at the same speed. Due to the delay in starting the cleanup, the techs applied an antimicrobial agent to make the water safer to handle during the cleanup.
